Supes Returns with a Bang!
 Posted by: ndin | 07/06 2006, 13:48

The world is divided. No, not because Supes supposedly left 5 years ago, but because the differences in opinions on the movie telling his return. Taking a stand, I must say Bryan Singer has done it again. The movie is, well, super!

Which is surprising, considering Bosworth, the trailers and production photos made me very sceptical about how the movie will end up. The 'S' is too small, Brandon is too bulky, Bosworth is not bitchy enough to be Lane and all those petty things. Composed into a two and a half hours of show, the end product is just beautiful. Although, Lex is not explored optimally in this episode, which is a waste of Spacey's talent, I shall say.

Another thing worth mentioning about this movie is the spoiler rate, which is low considering the weight of the fact and how the world behaved on the death of Dumbledore. You can keep reading, I will not spoil anything. However, you may want to stay away from the latest Tempo Magazine if you have not watched the film. And yes, please do watch it in the highest-tech cinema near you. It's worth it. Trust me. Do NOT watch it at Detos. Don't you DARE..!

Now, moving on to the science of the movie...

Ever since the first Superman movie, there is always one debatable bug: the fluttering of the cape in outer space. I know the producers deliberately left it that way just because it would be too cinematographically boring if the cape just streched still. However, considering the scenes are located not that far from the atmospheres, thus there may be some layer of air left, and considering the momentum built when the Supes rocketed, may it still a reasonable bug?

Second thing, what do you think keeping the Supe's hair neat: force shield or tremendous amount of hair products?

You just have to go to the scientific stuff don't you? it's a movie, just leave it be. But the little curl of the hair really really bugged me tho. I really want to get a comb and straighten it out!
