anyone with a background knowledge on Indonesian (or Dutch from which we adapted) law can tell mw why we treat juvenile crime exactly the same with that committed by adults?
this is insane!
the first day the story of Raju came out to the public, all media was shocked. even Prambors and Female radio discussed it on the morning show at the same time. The kid is only 8 years old, being trialled for juvenile fight, and condemned for giving "complicated answers" (he's 8, for GOODNESS SAKE!)
what is more shocking is how the "hands of justice" see this juvenile trial. the head of court, on his defense, stated that there've been hundreds of similar cases (!!) and people should not make such a drama out of this case (!!!). IMHO, Merriam Belina kicking and screaming on her latest sinetron is drama, an 8-year-old kicking and screaming and afraid to be trialled is absolutely not... wouldn't you think? - BLabbEr | Comments (5) | Permalink | Trackbacks (0)
